JOIN OUR CHURCH FAMILY FOR 21 DAYS OF
FASTING, PRAYER AND SEEKING GOD
Starting January 1, 2012 and continuing through January 21, 2012, our church will be entering a season of prayer and fasting aptly entitled, “21 Days of Hunger.” We are participating with several churches in the Hudson Valley Section of the NY District of the Assemblies of God. I sincerely hope you will join us for these three sacred weeks as we seek God for a greater outpouring of His Spirit, a deeper revelation of His Word, and a renewal of our hunger for God in church and in our lives!
The fast we suggest will consist of only one meal of vegetables per day in addition to intake of liquids. Meals that are eliminated should be substituted with prayer and study of God’s Word.
The church will be open every day from 6am to 9pm for you to come and spend time in the sanctuary. Please use the parking lot entrance as that is the only entrance that can be unlocked during the day due to preschool regulations. Of course, we will continue to meet on Tuesday nights for our Corporate Prayer Meeting; but we are also asking everyone to join us for additional prayer meetings on the Wednesday nights during this fast, January 4th, 11th and 18th from 7pm to 8:15pm – instead of the Adult Bible Study. As well, a final prayer meeting will be held on the last day of the fast, Saturday, January 21st from 6pm to 8pm.
We should all come expectant of an outpouring of His Spirit in our lives. Churches from across the Hudson Valley are participating in the “21 Days of Hunger” prayer and fasting campaign.
Please give this request prayerful consideration and mark your calendar. I believe the time has come for us to unite together in a serious expression of spiritual hunger for the presence of God!
